The Faces series began as a person whim to create a nice, aesthetic illustration and graphic designed poster for myself. I continued to develop the concept and I realized that the illustrations grew into something more— an honest depiction of emotions experienced during the pandemic.

According to the CDC (Feb 2021) 75% of young adults suffer from anxiety and depression with mental health issues exacerbating throughout the pandemic. Existing within bedroom walls, we exist inside social media, obsessing over an unblemished portrayal of what life could, would have, and should have been.

Although life is somewhat back to normal, these three artworks serve as a marker, a sardonic tombstone, to never forget.
